Jelly Bracelet

By the Shibaguyz

While we can’t say our generation created the friendship bracelet, it certainly did add its own twist to them. It does not seem that long ago when we were taping down thread to a table and trying to tie even knots together to make unique bracelets for our friends, hoping that the tape held tight enough to keep everything from sliding around.

Well, bracelets are coming back into style and luckily Clover has created their newest product to assist with making some FAB bracelets without all the hassle. Just decide on your style and whether you want to add beads or not. The rest is as simple as weaving or tying a knot.

For our first bracelet we chose to make the Spiral Knotted bracelet.

Here’s how we did it…

MATERIALS

  • Clover Bracelet Maker
  • 2 skeins of Jelly Yarn
  • scissors

INSTRUCTIONS

1.   Follow the instructions included with the Bracelet Maker to decide on what length to make your bracelet.

2.   Attach 2 lengths of core yarn through the center holes of the Bracelet Maker. Make sure they are attached around the posts.

3.   Tie 2 lengths of yarn, color of your choice, to the far end of the center core.

4.   Make your knots

  •   Make sure one length of yarn is on each side, Left and Right, of the core.
  • Take the Left side yarn and cross Over the core yarn.
  • Take the Right side yarn over the Left side yarn.
  • Continuing with the Right side yarn, cross Under the core yarn and bring up through the loop.
  • Tighten

5.   Repeat until the bracelet is complete.

6.   Remove the bracelet from the maker and trim the ends, leaving about three to five inches of extra yarn on the ends.

7.   Using each end, tie a single knot around the opposite end allowing the knots to slide along the excess.

8.   Wear your Jelly Bracelet with pride… and make at least 15 more for yourself and your friends.
